Spectacular Writing!!

Room 3 children are just crazy about writing!

Here are some of what our clever writers can create...

Every night before I go to bed I turn my night-light on and read my book. I also go under the covers and give my teddy, which is a bunny, a hug. But one night my teddy was not there.
I looked in my whole room but it was NOT there. There was only one more place to look. I need to look in the woods and I wasn't afraid at all. Until...there was a bear. But the bear was just afraid of dark so I shared my light with him . He came with me and we were not scared until...we ran into a very big hairy monster and he had something furry in his hand. It was my bunny. I said to him "what are you doing with my bunny?" I asked.
"I'm just lonely," he said.
"Well, come home with me" I said and they did. That's just my story that I'm reading.

From Sarah

When I was eating breakfast I heard a huge roar. It was coming from Vulture Mountain. I told my mother. "Can we go to Vulture Mountain," I said.
"No."
"Now?"
"No," she said.
So I stomped out the door and ran into the woods. It was cold and dark. Then I came out of the woods and started climbing the mountain. Just then a Vulture swooped down and threw me in to jail. Then I saw a wee hole to get out of prison. And there at the top of the mountain was a great big dragon.
By Navah.

This hero has a cape on his back and he has a belt. He saves people.
He is going to save people from a train because the driver is dead.
By Harry.

I made up a wizard who wasn't very smart and or light. He's got terrible ideas and he's from the dark side.
He's got stripy socks with the most unusual shaped head, and a magic wand on his left hand.
By Eli.

There once was a boy. His dad said "get me my tool box." So he went to get it. When he opened it up, something grabbed him. It was an octopus, it had big purple tenticles that were really funny looking.
His dad called out "hurry up son, I'm waiting," and the boy never got out again.
By Campbell.

Ramona Quimby in Room 3.

We have nearly finished our second story about Ramona Quimby and her sister Beezus. We enjoy to hear about her life challenges and about the 'creative' things that she does. We have created some observational drawings of Ramona. Natalie's sketch is at the top of our page. Here is a peek of some others before they had their background...

Bubbles...ooOo00

Modules in Room 2 was all about bubbles...

Room 3 facts...

Dry fingers pop bubbles, wet fingers don't
When bubbles pop - they are actually still there!
If surface tension isn't broken, the bubble won't pop
Bubbles don't pop - bubbles deflate

Hands can make bubbles
All bubbles are circles, but can be made with any shape
You can stand in a bubble - 3 people perhaps
If the bubble mixture doesn't work, modify it

Nick and Tai surfing...

For our first story writing for 2012, Room 3 wrote about Nick and Tai.

Nick bought a doberman puppy from Mrs Robinson in 2011. Nick sent Mrs Robinson some pictures of him taking Tai surfing. Room 3 had a lot to say about this picture and found it very funny. They also thought it was very cool!!

So ... we wrote about it...
